How to Delete Your Data

Delete Individual Content

You can delete individual notes, recordings, or files directly from the app:

1. Open the item you want to delete
2. Tap the delete/trash icon
3. Confirm deletion

Deleted content is immediately removed from your active library.

Delete Your Account

To delete your entire account and all associated data:

1. Open the Rubynote AI app
2. Go to Settings
3. Select "Account" or "Privacy"
4. Tap "Delete Account"
5. Follow the confirmation steps

30-Day Recovery Window

When you delete your account, your data enters a 30-day recovery window. During this period:

• Your account and data are deactivated but not permanently deleted
• You can restore your account and recover all your data
• To restore, contact us at support@rubynotesai.com within 30 days

After 30 Days

After the 30-day recovery window expires:

• Your account and all associated data are permanently deleted
• This includes all notes, recordings, transcripts, AI outputs, and settings
• Recovery is no longer possible

Exception: We may retain limited information as required by law to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is removed:

• All notes and recordings
• All transcripts and AI-generated content
• All uploaded files (PDFs, documents, images)
• Account settings and preferences
• Calendar integration data
• Subscription information (after cancellation period)

What May Be Retained

We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:

• Transaction records (for tax/accounting purposes)
• Information required to resolve disputes or enforce agreements
• Anonymized analytics data (cannot be linked to you)

Request Data Deletion

Include your account email address or Apple ID identifier in your request for faster processing.

Export Your Data First

Before deleting your account, you may want to export your data:

• Export notes as PDF, Word, or Excel files
• Download audio recordings
• Save transcripts and summaries

Once your account is deleted, you will not be able to access or export your data.
